Did Dancing with the Stars Lead to the crash and burn of Helio’s engagement?
Long distance relationships are tough. Depending on how often you and your mate see each other, it’s hard to live without those loving gazes and long embraces. But what if you had to watch your partner give someone else those loving gazes and long embraces every week in front of millions of other people?
That’s what Helio Castroneves’s fiancee was subjected to each week this past fall. Throw in a couple of passionate (were they practiced or spontaneous?) kisses, and jealousy could rear its ugly head.
Helio is a two-time champion of the Indianapolis 500, so his fiancee must have been used to the idea of him being in the spotlight and surrounded by beautiful people. However, being in the arms of one, for 8 hours a day, must have been a hard pill to swallow.
In the final analysis, a break-up of any relationship, whether it’s between a high profile or low profile couple, boils down to the amount of trust between the two people. When the trust disintegrates, so does the relationship.

Get Your Holiday Date on the Calendar!
It is all too easy to get swept into the whirlwind of the holiday season and realize at the end of it that you haven’t spent any festive time alone with your mate.
If you have children, before they are out of school for vacation, plan a festive holiday date with your mate. It doesn’t have to be expensive. In fact, a quiet, cozy afternoon by the fire with a nice hot drink is a great backdrop for ushering in the holiday. Instead of fighting the movie-going crowds, rent a holiday type movie and snuggle together as you watch it on your television or laptop computer.
If you celebrate Christmas, another idea is to have an intimate dinner by your Christmas tree. You work so hard to decorate it. Do you take time to really enjoy the end result? So, set up a small table by the tree, put on some holiday music and allow yourselves to enjoy the simplicity of the season – just the two of you!
