A Much Needed Respite!
It happens to us every year. Between coming off the hectic holiday season and the cabin fever we experience in Cleveland’s January climate, my husband and I feel drained. Although hunkering down in our own home can feel cozy and warm, it’s when we venture out and find a new location to relax and refresh ourselves that we feel reconnected to one another. This past weekend we went to a place we had never been to before for the sole purpose of spending time alone together. The place we went to is called Holmes with a View in Holmes county, the heart of the Amish Country. Homes with a View is a series of circular homes with windows that afford a wonderful view of rolling hills dotted with barns, silos, and fences. Each home has a gas fireplace, a jacuzzi, and an eat-in kitchen. We felt completely cacooned! We left the following morning feeling reacqauinted and refreshed. Ahhh, just what we needed!
