Because Nice Matters

It’s the day before Valentine’s Day and you would think it’s the eve of a Presidential debate.  Which side are you on?  The side that says, “Valentine’s Day is a sappy, contrived Hallmark holiday”, or the side that says, “Why not do something to show your mate he or she matters?”

Yes, of course, every day can be Valentine’s Day.  Romance can be weaved into the fabric of our every day lives, no doubt.  But does that mean we should boycott a well-known holiday to show our mate how much we love him or her?  If you’re going to love your mate every day anyway, why not ratchet it up a notch for Valentine’s Day?  Ratcheting it up doesn’t have to mean spending big sums of money.  The simplest of gestures, if done with thought and some creativity, can send a huge message of love.

So, visit my home page of my website to download 10 such gestures and do it because … nice matters.

15th Annual Romance Workshop Huge Success!

This past weekend was Coach Kathy’s 15th Annual Romance Workshop, held at Walden – The Country Inn & Stables in Aurora, Ohio.  Twenty-five couples were present for a day of connectedness, romance, and good old-fashioned fun.  Throughout the day, couples were instructed to break-off together to answer questionnaires and surveys in order to help them learn more about one another.  Each time they returned to the presentation room, they were feeling more and more reunited.  The day culminated in a each couple renewing their commitment in a group setting.  The ceremony was touching and meaningful.  That night we celebrated our relationships, along with the 15th anniversary of the Romance Workshop by dining and dancing the night away!  Here are some comments from couples who attended the 2008 Romance Workshop:

“Best workshop yet!  How are you going to top this?”

“I’ve learned to celebrate our love and the blessings that we have.”

“Thank you!  These workshops have helped our relationship and have opened up our communication with each other.”

“This was a timely renewal for us; it was great to reconnect.”

“This is exactly what we needed to reconnect with each other.”

“I love coming to spend time with all the great people at the workshop. Thanks for helping us grow.”

“Loved it as always!  We had a blast!”

“I love this workshop – it is fantastic!  It is a blessing I thank God for.”
