A Royal Relationship

The Kiss
I have to admit, I was skeptical about taking my time yesterday to watch the Royal Wedding. Would this be just another media event? I was pleasantly surprised! Through all the pomp and circumstance, I could feel the genuine connection between Kate and William, which is tough to maintain when billions are watching. I was particularly impressed with how they handled the kiss on the balcony. Not sure if William would land a dramatic 10-seconder on Kate, I watched in riveted anticipation, as did millions of other viewers. What I witnessed instead was a loving and somewhat shy and innocent connection between them. I saw William mouth the words, “That’s it. No more” to the crowd, almost as a protective gesture toward his new wife and their relationship. This couple is modern, no doubt. More importantly, this couple is emotionally smart.
