Dating – The French Way

Who knew dating didn’t have to be so formulaic, at least for the French. I just read a groundbreaking book called French Women Don’t Sleep Alone by Jamie Cat Callan, and it’s not about sex!  In the book, Ms. Callan describes how French women meet and develop relationships with men.  Instead of enlisting in a corporate dating site and then suffering through a series of uncomfortable interview-like meals, the French spend time casually entertaining in a group of friends or friends of friends.  Much pleasure is taken in preparing the home and meal.  A lot of energy is put creating an environment in which men and women can interact and observe one another. The French believe that, initially, more can be learned about a person by how he or she socializes in a home, than by having a private, and sometimes contrived meal in a restaurant.  To learn more about dating the French way, click here.
